Ordered a three course meal first time in Sydney! And the bill was just $45. Apart from the cheap food, the food was really amazing! I am not sure if it is authentic Malaysian food as I have never been to Malaysia. But a dinner here made me plan a trip to Malaysia to enjoy their street food.

Quite busy in the evening, but the line moved quickly. It took a while to get on order in but the food arrived very quickly after that. The lamb curry was spicy and delicious. The roti was also great, but I was a bit underwhelmed by the chicken satay. Prices seemed reasonable despite the popularity.

Recently moved back to Sydney, and this is the first place we ate on our first night back because we love this place so freaking much. Amazing food that arrives fast, cheap prices and friendly staff. There's a reason there's so often a line up, but it's always worth it.

I love Mamak. I always walk out feeling very satisfied. The food is amazing, especially the lamb curry. The staff are friendly and work very hard, nothing is a problem. The only con for me is the noise at times it's hard to hear over it. Mamak is a winner every time and once you try it you will keep going back.

Just can't fault this place. Great service, fantastic food as well as delicious Malay deserts. And the price.. man what a bargain.. If you don't stand in line when you're in this part of town you're really doing yourself a disservice! Queue up, walk in, sit down, eat the amazing food, walk out with a smile!

I've been dining her for years, and not once have I had a bad experience. Fast service, delicious food, affordable prices and BYO! What more could you want from a Malay restaurant in Chinatown? Don't be put off by the long queue, the fast turnover means you're not normally waiting for too long. Make sure all your diners arrive on time, though, as they won't let you take a table until everyone shows up.
